Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, 안녕 친구들! 👋🏻👋🏻, hello guys, welcome to my blog. On this blog i will share about : Caption Text part 2 "Let's write !"

Let's get started !

After reading some text captions from pictures/graphs/charts on Learning part 1, then now is the time to practice writing captions on some pictures provided and write 2 or 3 sentences

Practice 1: Look at the pictures below. Then match the caption with the picture.

⚫ Picture 1 :

⚫ Picture 2 :

⚫ Caption 1 :

⚫ Caption 2 :
A nurse takes a swab sample from a patient at the Tanah Abang district office in Central Jakarta on June Central Jakarta on June 21. Swab tests, also called polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests, use mucus samples taken from the nose or throat to detect COVID-19. (JP/P.J. Leo)

Answer :
Picture 1 = Caption 2
Picture 2 = Caption 1

Can you of course match the images and captions? Good job! The pair is right, that means you already understand how to write text along with pictures. Now it's time to practice writing captions using your own language. Don't be discouraged if there are words you don't know English. You can view both print and digital dictionaries.

Pay attention to the steps to write text accompanying the image (caption).

TIPS TO WRITE CAPTIONS :
• Do not begin with the words a, an, or the Use present tense to describe action in a photo.

• Give readers information they cannot get from just looking at a photo

• A caption should complete the photo. The reader should not have to look at the story, but should want to look at the story.

• Write captions so they go from specific to general or general to specific. Don't begin a caption with names

• When identifying members of a group, write "from left," not "from left to right." "Above" and "pictured here" are unnecessary.

• Captions should not repeat information contained in the lead.

• Name people only if they are important to the picture

Jakarta is ripe for a bicycle revolution. But Jakarta Post in a special report says that while the city has already designated 63 km of special bike lanes across the city and plans to add another 101 km this year, this is too little and too slow.

However, the move has garnered wide and high praise among Jakarta's cycling communities that have long complained about insufficient cycling infrastructure and the lack of safe bicycle lanes.

The city has also asked buildings in the capital to provide 10 percent of their total parking space for bicycles. Office buildings are requested that washing stations are provided for employees who cycle to work.

Nevertheless, the paper highlighted, the needs to provide other facilities and conveniences to encourage people to take up biking to work, including more bicycle racks, safer streets and public transport must provide facilities for people to take their bikes on board

Pressure must be put on the administration. A bike revolution is what Jakarta needs to transform into a bike-friendly city.
